Independent Historical Archive
VW-Racing.org is a private, independent research project dedicated exclusively to documenting the history of the Volkswagen Golf Limited.
This website is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by Volkswagen AG, Volkswagen Motorsport, or any of their affiliated companies. All trademarks, logos and model names are the property of their respective owners and are used solely for identification, historical reference and editorial purposes.
Research Philosophy
The primary objective of this project is to preserve the history of every known Volkswagen Golf Limited as accurately and comprehensively as possible.
Each vehicle has its own unique story. Whenever possible, information is researched and verified using original documents, factory records, period photographs, historical publications, and conversations with current and former owners.
Historical research is an ongoing process. New documents, photographs and information continue to emerge, sometimes many years after a vehicle was originally documented.
For this reason, all information published on VW-Racing.org should be regarded as the best available knowledge at the time of publication. Whenever new verified evidence becomes available, existing documentation may be updated, corrected or expanded accordingly.
Accuracy, transparency and respect for historical facts remain the guiding principles of this project.
Accuracy of Information
Although every reasonable effort is made to ensure the accuracy of all published information, absolute completeness or freedom from error cannot be guaranteed.
If you discover inaccurate information, possess additional documentation, or can contribute verified historical material, your support is sincerely appreciated. Constructive contributions from owners and enthusiasts have always been an essential part of improving this archive.

Community Contribution
The Volkswagen Golf Limited community has played an invaluable role in preserving the history of these remarkable vehicles.
Owners, former owners, collectors and enthusiasts from around the world have contributed photographs, documents, technical information and personal memories over many years.
Their willingness to share knowledge has helped preserve information that might otherwise have been lost forever.
If you would like to contribute to this archive, I would be delighted to hear from you.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to preserving the history of one of Volkswagen Motorsport's most remarkable automobiles.
